AO3 Finance Officer

Are you an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer looking to take the next step in your career within the Public Sector? Randstad is currently seeking expressions of interest from skilled Accounts Receivable and Debt Recovery specialists for upcoming AO3-level opportunities with our key State Government partners in Southport.

We are specifically looking for professionals with a strong background in high-volume billing environments, with experience in Health or Insurance sectors being highly regarded. The roles are classified at the AO3 level and offer a competitive hourly casual rate of $51.12 to $56.72 plus superannuation. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a government project and play an important role in financial operations within the Gold Coast region.

As the Accounts Receivable Officer, you will be responsible for:

• Following up with customers on outstanding invoices and determining appropriate next steps
  
  
• Investigating aged debt and liaising with third parties to understand and resolve non-payment issues
  
  
• Reviewing and analysing outstanding accounts using internal systems and Excel
  
  
• Identifying discrepancies or required adjustments and escalating to relevant teams for resolution
  
  
• Preparing and coordinating the reissue of invoices where corrections or replacements are needed
  
  
• Assisting with the preparation of documentation for accounts being referred to external collection services
  
  

Key Skills:

• Previous experience in accounts receivable or debt collection
  
  
• Background in industries with high volume billing or payment processes, such as health or insurance will be highly regarded.
  
  
• Confident using Excel to manage and review data
  
  
• Strong communication skills with the ability to follow up with internal and external stakeholders
  
  
• Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
  
  
• A proactive mindset and ability to problem-solve and manage priorities
  
  
• Strong attention to detail
